As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, your Credit Union is monitoring and responding to these changes daily. The information below is essential; please take the time to read and share with your friends and family. We want you to stay safe and healthy, please remain home and do not visit a branch unless required too. Government regulations may cause temporary branch closures in the future.

Your credit union is fully prepared to serve you remotely through our digital channels and extended hours at our Member Service Centre (604.740.2662).

Updated March 27, 2020: For your safety and the safety of all, we ask that you conduct your transactions through alternate channels and only visit a branch for services that cannot be completed through our mobile app, online or by contacting our Member Service Centre.

Updated March 18th, 2020 

In addition to requirements that support social distancing and sanitization, as of March 18th, members will experience the following changes to in-branch service:

  • All members visiting a branch will be set up for safe banking including online banking, mobile app and a debit card. For those without digital access, we will provide our Member Service Centre contact information and request that you call, not come in, beginning today.
  • All appointments will be booked as phone appointments, including video conferencing if preferred. E-Sign will be used to facilitate signing requirements. 



​Our members can be assured that we’ve prepared for a day like this. Our robust business continuity plan is specifically designed to mitigate risk, minimize disruption and safeguard your assets. At SCCU, depositors are 100% protected by the Credit Union Deposit Insurance Corporation (CUDIC) of British Columbia. 


You may have questions about options that are available to you at this time. SCCU is here and ready to help. We will be doing so on an individual basis so that each person receives the right solution and resources for their specific situation. In support of our members in their digital payments, all INTERAC e-Transfer® fees will be waived effective March 18 2020 until April 30 2020, for personal, business and non-profit members.  


Scheduled to take place on April 21st, our AGM has been postponed indefinitely. In the meantime, members can view our 2019 Annual Report and financials through our website. 


 We are committed to working with individuals   on a one-to-one basis so that each person or   business receives the right solution and   resources for their specific situation.

 Solutions could include one or more of the   following: 

  • Expertise, planning tools, resources and referrals
  • Payment deferrals of up to 6 months
  • Interest only payments
  • Refinancing and debt consolidation
  • Loans, lines of credit

 Plus, all members now enjoy:

  • No holds on cheque deposits at ATMs
  • Increased ATM limits to $750
  • Free INTERAC e-Transfers until April 30 2020
