December Files Unavailable: RESP, BCTESG and RDSP Incentives

The December file transmission from the Government of Canada has been delayed due to unforeseen circumstances. This file contains the required information to process the November grants and bonds (incentives) to members’ and clients’ RESP, BCTESG, and RDSP accounts with Central 1 and Central 1 Trust. 

Central 1's Financial Services has been working with the Government of Canada to resolve this technical issue over the past week to meet month-end file processing requirements; however, it appears this file transmission delay may extend into early January.  

What does this mean to SCCU members or clients?

November incentives will not appear in the RESP, BCTESG, and RDSP accounts until January 1, 2022. The annual statement run will only show incentives received up to November 30, 2021. All other financial transactions processed in December remain unaffected and will appear on the statement. Financial Services will continue to work with the Government of Canada to resolve this technical issue. We will provide an update once the December file has been received and processed.
